I had a tough time coming up with a title for this blog. My first choice, “random variations” was already taken. So instead I’ll use this title, a jokey variation on my name I’ve heard since childhood, as a moniker for whatever brainstorms end up here.
In case you don’t know, I’m a research psychologist trained in social psychology but whose work is mostly pigeonholed as belonging within personality psychology (long story), and a member of the faculty at the University of California, Riverside. For more information about my research, you can check out my lab’s website, and a link to my personality textbook, published by W.W. Norton, is here.
